Availability Modelling
Asset availability is incorporated into the revenue calculations to reflect the expected operational availability of each asset throughout the year. This provides a more realistic estimate of project revenues by accounting for periods when an asset may be unavailable due to maintenance, faults, or other operational interruptions.
For co-located assets, the availability of both the PV or Wind and the energy storage is considered, ensuring that the overall revenue estimate reflects the operational characteristics of the complete asset configuration.
This approach assumes that outages occur randomly over time rather than being concentrated during periods with particularly high market prices or dispatch opportunities. As a result, availability is treated as having a proportional impact on revenue across all supported markets. This is a simplified representation of real-world operations as the timing of individual outages cannot be predicted.
